At this time of year, we get bombarded with cyber security predictions that can range from the inane to insane to actually quite insightful. TAG Cyber’s Ed Amoroso just posted his 2019 ‘cyber predictions’ and you can rest assured that his are quite insightful.
I believe Ed makes some really interesting points about uncertainties and hopes for the security industry over the next 12 months. One key point is the need to move away from things being fixed and cumbersome towards elastic and dynamic. This allows you to create zero-trust architectures that respond to changing threats. And it leads to software-defined capabilities where security services can be spun up and down at any scale in the most economical way.
At Corsa, our network security offering is specifically created to address Ed’s key point. Networks are handling so much more traffic now and most of it is encrypted. So, you need to scale SSL inspection for 100% visibility and this has to be done in a software-defined way because the traditional fixed firewall approach isn’t working.
We recently, got the chance to sit down and talk to Ed further about what Corsa does. You can watch the video of that interview which is on the TAG Cyber YouTube channel.
We call this new approach software-defined network security and it is not just a hope for 2019 but something we are rolling out now to change the face of network security. Our approach is focused on helping you deal with huge network bandwidth demands and the growing presence of SSL/TLS encrypted traffic.
If you want to learn more about how to address this inspection gap and get 100% visibility into encrypted traffic, we are hosting a webinar on February 19 at 10am ET. We will be joined by Ed to look at the trends and this new approach. You can register here to join us.
