Corsa’s DP2400 SDN data plane is an open, programmable switching and routing platform for internet-scale networking. Designed to let operators build networks based on the principles of modular disaggregated systems, the DP2400 can be stacked in 200G increments to create monolithic switching and routing up to 2.4Tbps. Connected via meshing ports to avoid using precious faceplate ports, the stacked hardware data planes produce a single logical switch or router and scale a single logical data plane to multi-terabit capacity without compromising performance. This provides the flexibility, efficiency and scale needed in WAN and metro-edge networks.
Another key feature for these large networks is full virtualization of the hardware which allows all the switch resources to be exposed as independent virtual SDN switches or routers. This capability to create virtual service instances that can operate at 100G line-rate allows for improved bandwidth management for each tenant, traffic isolation, automation of new service commissioning, and more efficient use of hardware resources.

Like the other DP2000 series products, the DP2400 platform has fine-grained flow forwarding and advanced traffic engineering features for complex packet processing and traffic management. It supports over a million flows, multiple match-action tables, deep packet buffers, and over 15,000 flow mods per second.
Corsa understands that different customers require open programming interfaces for the network at different layers. So the raw capability of the platform is matched with a flexible selection of both open and Corsa developed control plane software that accesses the platforms via various programmable interfaces. This offers customers a choice between open source and production hardened commercial software as well as how deep into the southbound interface to go. REST APIs are available for integration with management and orchestration software. For OpenFlow users, the entire DP2000 family can be controlled via any OpenFlow speaking control plane such as RYU, ODL, Quagga, ONOS, Atrium, SDN-IP, and Faucet among others. Combined, these programmable interfaces allow full network automation for things like traffic shaping, bandwidth on demand, per flow traffic tapping and analytics, on-demand virtual switching and routing services, and more.
