Add Red Armor to your existing network DDoS protection for 100Gbps line-rate performance.
Despite spending more than $85B annually on security measures, 2016 saw network outages of unprecedented proportions, with more than 1 billion crucial records lost to data breaches, and DDoS attacks more than doubling. Something needs to be done.
Complete DDoS protection with Flowmon Networks detection
and Corsa Red Armor enforcement
Network operators today must keep a close eye on performance and health of their dynamic and constantly changing high speed, high volume networks. They employ a variety of tools to do that. One of the most common tools is NetFlow data. NetFlow is a protocol that allows routers to report summarized data of the traffic that is passing through them. Network operators typically collect this data from all corners of their networks and analyze it using various NetFlow analysis tools.
Typically, these tools also provide DDoS detection capabilities, which is critical for any network operator. The challenge is: what do you do with this information once your DDoS detection tool lights up with a new alert?
If you don’t have a specialized DDoS mitigation appliance for your high traffic nodes, your ability to respond to an alert is limited, and for all but the very largest network operators, having a sophisticated 100G DDOS mitigation solution is costly and complicated. So, you resort to RTBH assuming you can afford to take down the end-customer, or “hope and pray” when you aren’t able to do anything.
Corsa Red Armor is a perfect solution for operators that are looking to add economical, highly effective DDoS protection to their existing DDoS detection tools.
Flowmon Networks provides an easy to use suite of tools for flow based network performance monitoring and diagnostics. The suite includes the Flowmon DDoS Defender product that is able to detect the attacks in sub-minute intervals, which works together with Corsa Red Armor to provide automatic, fast and complete DDoS Protection.
Corsa Red Armor installs in 10 minutes, operates as a bump on the wire, interoperates with every DDOS detection technology and provides 100G line rate enforcement at a fraction of the cost of existing mitigation solutions.
Add to existing architecture
No shared resources with routing
No degradation of performance based on packet size
No degradation of performance based on number of rules
You can add Corsa Red Armor enforcement to Flowmon DDoS Defender in two easy steps
In the Flowmon DDoS defender configuration first you define the Corsa Red Armor device as a router with BGP Flow Spec capability.
Then you configure the Red Armor device as a router for the protected segment for the Change Route action.
That’s it! Yes, it is that simple.
Now, any time Flowmon DDoS Defender detects a DDoS attack, just apply the mitigation rule on the attack page to enable enforcement in the Corsa Red Armor NSE7000.
You can also easily see the attack being blocked on the Corsa NSE device.
