Turnkey network security virtualization platform is integrated with Fortinet’s FortiGate-VM NGFW
OTTAWA, ON (Canada) – September 12, 2019 – Corsa Security, today announced that it has joined the Fortinet Technology Alliance Partner program to provide customers with the ability to scale traffic inspection capacity seamlessly while maintaining network throughput performance, even with full SSL/TLS visibility enabled. The Corsa Red Armor turnkey network security virtualization platform is configured with Fortinet’s FortiGate-VM next-generation firewall, part of the Fortinet Security Fabric, to offer unlimited, economical protection for North-South traffic flows at any service provider, enterprise or campus network security zone. FortiGate-VM shares the same advanced features of the FortiGate next-generation firewall (NGFW), enabling and enforcing security policies across all environments and providing single-pane-of-glass management.
The Corsa Red Armor platform has been designed to be quick to deploy and simple to manage. It delivers software-defined network security through horizontal scaling of virtual security services, which means customers can elastically add traffic inspection capacity to meet increasing bandwidth demand, without having to upgrade their existing hardware. As a result of the sophisticated integration of the Corsa platform with FortiGate-VM firewalls, customers can turn up as much traffic inspection as required without impacting network performance.
“We’re delighted to partner with Fortinet to expand our platform,” said Carolyn Raab, Chief Product Officer, Corsa Security. “We recognize that the world of network security is rapidly changing, and we want to ensure our customers can achieve 100% SSL/TLS visibility quickly and simply, using the firewall vendor they’re comfortable with. Thanks to this partnership, customers continue to use their Fortinet FortiGate-VM next-generation firewalls offering unparalleled security protection, running on state-of-the-art hyperconverged infrastructure from Corsa, specifically optimized for scaling network security.”
“We have grown from 12 to 18 hospitals and health centers in the past year. We could instantly implement the Corsa and Fortinet solution to address our rapidly increasing network security needs while handling the sheer volume and variety of network traffic we see,” said Josep Bardallo, Chief Information Security Officer, Grupo Recoletas. “As a virtualized firewall solution, it scales seamlessly so we have future-proofed our network for some years to come even as encrypted traffic becomes more prevalent. When we need more network security inspection capacity, we simply click-to-add virtual appliances to increase our firewall capacity.”
“We’re excited to partner with Corsa on innovative solutions for virtual network environments,” said Neil Prasad, Senior Director of Global Technology Alliances and Product Marketing at Fortinet. “With this partnership, customers benefit from scalable, high-performance inspection of all traffic types and continue to enjoy broad visibility, integrated threat detection and automated response provided by the Fortinet Security Fabric. We welcome Corsa into Fortinet’s Fabric-Ready Partner Program and look forward to our continued collaboration to provide a more secure future for our customers.”
